What is the SR20 deal with oppo? I have always wondered that. Was it really some guy saying he put a SR20 in a Lotus?

The story I've heard (I haven't been around long enough to know for sure, but I've heard this story so many times I think it could be accurate) is that there was a guy who kept making posts about how he was putting an SR20 in his Lotus, but he wouldn't post pictures. I hear he got banned and people started saying "No SR20" if there wasn't a picture. I've heard that from a lot of people, but I don't know for sure if there's a user here that was active when that whole thing happened.

Here is the story I heard.

There was an author (named Sr20) who claimed he had bought a lotus,when pushed for pictures he got caught using images from google image search. I think there was a lot more to it ( think I might have even heard about one of his "my new lotus" posts making the front page) but it was all well before my time.

Interesting find. It's still probably not a Lotus. Lotus gave up making Sevens in early seventies and several other companies continued making similar cars. Caterham is probably the most well known (but it depends where you live).
